AT&T Lines: Network Facts for Developers
An AT&T line from Mobile Proxies US exits on an address owned by AT&T Mobility, autonomous system AS20057, from a SIM in a device we run in one of eight US metros. In GET /proxies/my it is a licence with carrier AT&T, a city, a network tier, a host and ports, a login and a rotation link. This page records what a developer needs to know about AT&T addresses specifically: how they are identified, how they are shared, where they geolocate, how rotation behaves and what the line costs.
Identification
A reverse lookup or an ASN query on the exit IP returns AT&T Mobility, AS20057, country US. Connection-type fields in geolocation and reputation services read mobile or cellular. The address is IPv4 at the proxy exit. Your tests should assert the ASN and the connection type; these two fields are what destination sites use to put the request in the mobile bucket.
Shared by design
AT&T places many handsets behind each public IPv4 address through carrier-grade NAT. The exit IP of your line is also the address of other AT&T subscribers in the same region at the same moment. Consequences: reputation scores reflect the crowd rather than your traffic; destinations are reluctant to block the address because they would block their own customers; a returning address in their logs is ordinary. Your line is still exclusive to you at the device and SIM level; sharing happens one layer up, at the carrier.
Geolocation behaviour
Country and state resolve correctly in every metro. City resolution is usually the metro itself, with one documented exception: AT&T's New England traffic exits through its New York gateway, so an AT&T line in Boston reads as New York in most databases (a Verizon line in Boston reads as Boston). Elsewhere, an occasional regional reading is possible after AT&T re-plans address blocks and databases lag. Assert country and state in code; log the city.
Rotation semantics on AT&T
A rotate request (a GET on rotation_link, the dashboard, the bot or the timer) makes the modem drop and re-attach its data session. AT&T assigns a new address from the pool serving that gateway, typically within a few seconds, occasionally up to about half a minute under load. Do not retry a rotation that is still running. The address is sticky when left alone, for as long as AT&T's network keeps the session, which is normally hours. There is no limit on how many rotations you make; min_time_change_ip gives the wait the rotation link holds a line to, and phone lines have their own cooldown of 1 to 2 minutes.
Endpoints and protocols
Each AT&T line has an HTTP(S) endpoint, a SOCKS5 endpoint (TCP and UDP), a username and password, and a VLESS link for an encrypted tunnel. Both proxy ports share the same exit IP; a rotation changes it for both. Use socks5h in clients so DNS resolves on the carrier side. Chromium-based headless browsers take the HTTP endpoint with credentials passed at launch, or a local unauthenticated SOCKS port from an xray gateway built from the VLESS link.
Metros, devices and speed
AT&T lines are available in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Miami, Boston and North Carolina. The device is a 4G or 5G USB modem, a cellular router or an Android phone, chosen at checkout. 4G reads up to 25 Mbps download, 5G up to 50 Mbps; both vary with cell load. The 5G+ add-on, on 5G lines only, describes an average of 70 Mbps or more download on selected lines and is not guaranteed. Moves between metros are free and keep the remaining time.
When AT&T is the right carrier
Reproducing a report from an AT&T user. Jobs where a widely used consumer carrier with ordinary reputation is wanted and metro-exact city strings are not essential. Tests that need AS20057 specifically. If the job needs the city to read the metro reliably, T-Mobile is the better buy; if a report names Verizon, buy Verizon.
Prices and access
4G: $5 a day, $29 a week, $66 a month. 5G: $6 a day, $33 a week, $77 a month. Hourly: 4G $2 for the first two hours then $2 an hour, 5G $3 then $3 an hour, up to four hours, never renewing, with the hours counting toward a day plan if the line is kept all day. Pay by card, PayPal, Bitcoin, USDT including TRC-20, Ethereum, Zelle or bank wire. The line is live when payment clears and appears in the dashboard at cp.mobileproxiesus.com and in GET /proxies/my immediately.
AT&T proxy questions
How do I confirm a line is really on AT&T?
Look up the exit IP's ASN: AS20057, AT&T Mobility. Connection type should read mobile. Both are in most geolocation API responses.
Why does my Boston AT&T line say New York?
AT&T's New England traffic exits through its New York gateway. Databases list the address there. Verizon lines in Boston read as Boston.
How long does an AT&T rotation take?
A few seconds in most cases, up to about half a minute on a busy cell. Confirm the new exit IP through the line before reusing it.
Is the address exclusively mine?
The SIM and device are. The public address is shared with other AT&T subscribers through the carrier's NAT, which is what makes it read as a normal mobile user.
